Spiritual Psychology is an original, revolutionary view of human nature that provides guidelines to create an extraordinary extended life amidst the chaos, confusion and opportunities inherent in rapid progress. Freud ushered in the 20th century with the Id, Ego and Super-Ego; Jung unveiled our Anima and Animus; Maslow offered the path to Peak Performance; Maltz demonstrated the power of visualization and Bern reassured us we’re all O.K. Today, Spiritual Psychology offers an innovative understanding of human nature that parallels the current, creative breakthroughs in medicine and technology. Its major distinction redefines human nature, first by including spirit as the primary creative source of life, and an integral part of our makeup, and second, as ego’s equal and inseparable partner. Through new lens we see that Spirit takes on the original, unabridged definition of “breath” or “energy-giving”, viewed as the primary
core of our nature inextricably intertwined with Ego, its emotional counterpart.

Spiritual Psychology is based on the three Absolute Truths of life: It is the nature of Spirit to give, It is the nature of Ego to take, and It is the nature of life to express. Ego, traditionally viewed as the part of our nature that gets a bad rap, is redefined as the innate, complementary partner of the spirit, capable of reaching spirit’s desires and dreams. We propose that the power of creative energy is generated in the Spirit, while the power of dynamic action is in Ego’s control. Ego is viewed as capable of being transformed into a healthy state and not in need of transcendence. See the graph below for more information on the states of the Ego an Spirit.

This exciting field offers a fresh, revolutionary look at the Spirit and the Ego as two innate, complementary components of human nature, that when synchronized, create spiritual and emotional fulfillment.
The central aim of Spiritual Psychology is to teach how to balance the desires of the Spirit with the drive of the Ego. By balancing the states within between these states, harmony in live may be achieved. Many individuals find fulfillment of their spirit within a religion, others with a secular perspective.
